• I am having a couple of issues here with the shipping and taxes and I have looked and looked and cannot figure it out.

    1. I have a client who is going to be selling t-shirts and some other items. They decided to purchase the WooCommerce USPS plugin for their shipping costs. Under shipping I have just the USPS activated no other options are checked. In the products, the weight, and sizes have all been inputted. When I go to my cart after adding the item and I input the shipping information, this is the message I get: Sorry, it seems that there are no available shipping methods for your state. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements. What am I missing on this?

    2. Each product has to have an 8.25% tax added to it which is the tax rate in Texas. Under the Tax tab I have these items checked:

    Enable taxes and tax calculations
    Display taxes on cart page

I also have information and tax rate in the Post/zip codes and shipped is checked.

Can someone please help me here and let me know what I am missing?

    Thanks
    Angie

Here is the link to the store: http://flivin.com/?product=blog I only have one product up as a test. They are actually selling t-shirts and other things!

    Thanks

I would recommend contacting the extension developer regarding this issue about shipping. I’ve seen this error before when using the UPS extension – I believe it was because I didn’t include “ground shipping” as one of the allowed options. Your situation may be similar or completely different, but when it comes to paid for plugins, you shouldn’t need to use the free wordpress forums, you should contact the developer directly.

For taxes – what is your issue is with that.

For taxes, the taxes are not applying at all! They are in Texas and they need to have 8.25% tax on the total and nothing is happening.

Will do on contacting the developer. I did not find any contact information for the plugin, but I will look through the files again.

I did not purchase the plugin, the people who have the site did, so I am trying to figure out their login information so I can ask the question regarding the plugin.

normally, the info is on the page where you purchase the extension, but that seems to be a 404 now…

On the tax tab, be sure to check

be sure to check the main tax settinga

These are the options that I would expect you’d want (unless you have to collect tax regardless of where the buyer is, then calculate tax based on shop base address.

My tax page looks nothing like yours. Here is mine.

Tax has to be collected no matter.

oh, you’re still on 3.4.x, didn’t realize the interface changed that much…
Your “united states (1 state)” should read
    United States (50 states)

Thank you, that worked perfectly! I am not sure what happened before, I actually had that ticked once before and no tax ever showed up, but it is there now.

Now I need to figure out the shipping thing. The issue is, they, the client, purchased it so I am now waiting to hear back from them so I can get some support from the paid area on the site.

    Thanks again!
