    I’d like to construct a link that users can use to directly unsubscribe when they click on it.

    Normally you need to go to the form, enter you e-mail address and click the unsubscribe button, but that’s too much hassle in my opinion. So I’m trying to create an unsubscribe link myself.

    I can’t do this without a tag that gives me the e-mail address of the recipient, so either this or a direct unsubscribe link would be greatly appreciated!

    Yeah I could hack the code and all but that would make upgrading the plugin dangerous so I prefer not to do that.

  • @janneman84,

    This is not currently possible in Subscribe2 and I’m not planning to add this feature.

    Subscribe2 is designed to send identical emails to large groups and can use the BCC header to accomplish this. As such the email really is identical for each use and adding an individualised link is impossible.

    If at some point in time the use of the BCC header becomes redundant and is dropped from the code this can be considered again.

    Okay I understand, each e-mail has to be identical so it’s not possible. Thank you for the quick reply.

    @mattyrob This feature would be very interesting in view of the upcoming Canadian anti-spam legislation that will require unsubscribe links to these kinds of emails.

    @gelgen,

    A link to the unsubscribe form is very possible, just not a one click uninstall function.

    Adding it while the current BCC feature is available and used will only cause confusion as users will expect this to work while the BCC feature is still in use.
