I would avoid using blue for text. Blue and your shade of blue in particular is conventionally used for hypertext.
I take your point, a very acute one, but there are near 300 pages and I think one link or maybe two and not many more planned, so unless there is a VERY simple way of making the change I will live with it. 🙂

Why is the about page and home page with same link and on load of your site, in the menu both are active with white background! And the about page loads instead of home page i suppose!
And you could add soem more content I suppose!
