best way to get large # of links onto new Page

On my blog Table for Five, I have the 3K2 theme. New pages automatically become tabs at the bottom of the header. Rather than have my blogroll at the top, I want to have it in a link on my sidebar. BUT, I don’t want to use the Link Widget because I want to play around with how the links are grouped. Also, I have the code for excluding the page id from the tabs.

Besides copy/pasting each of them individually, is there an easier way to get all of my links on a new page? I created the Bloglines OPML file, but I don’t think that’s right. Can someone please help?

Hi Michael. What I was asking was, is there some way to import my bloglines subscriptions directly into a new Page and then link to that page on my sidebar?

What is your opinion of the Improved Include Page template?

So you don’t want to import the links into your blog’s Blogroll?

Is this is the plugin you are referring to?

If so, then if I’m reading it right, at looks like that plugin allows you to include one of your blog’s static Pages.

I understand what you are saying, Michael. If I import the links into the Blogroll that comes with the blog, then how do I put a link on the sidebar that reads:

Click HERE to view my blogroll

The default blogroll that comes with the blog is very plain, I wanted to be able to break up the links into groups with titles (“these are people I have met in person”, “these are people who’s blogs I like”, etc) Is that something I can do from the Stylesheet or something?

Import the links, give them their own Category. Create a Page and in the Page Template you assign to that Page, use the template tag, wp_list_bookmarks.

Assuming the Category you assigned to the links is Category ID 7, the code in your Template file would be something like:

wp_list_bookmarks('category=7')
