Plugin/Widget/Shortcode for WordPress to Simply Search a Local List/File?

i would like to have a suggestion of which tool would best suit the needs of what i’m trying to do?

i just want to have a single search box inside of one of my pages content, where users type in a “company name” (or just part of the name) and then hit Search and it simply looks through a list (.csv file maybe??) of mine locally in my site—and then displays back to the user either NOTHING or the “name of the company” and maybe “in good standing” – depending upon whether the company they typed is actually in my list/file and “in good standing” etc…

what tool would be best for that? a widget in WordPress?, a plugin in WordPress? a shortcode?

note: the list will just be a list of company names that i manually put into the list/file as needed.
