Hi all. Don’t have any problems installing WP. But here’s what I’d love to do.

Have the Index.php at the site root, one level above the rest of the files.

    Why?
Contrary to previous installations on other sites of mine, this time I’d like for my Word Press Home Page to replace my previous site’s homepage.
All while keeping all my many other (older) pages in place as well.

Thing is, I was hoping to go about this all in as tidiest a fashion as possible. That is, having the WP files and folders in a subfolder while having the index.php at the site root.

Make sense? Are there settings somewhere I can change to have the site go okay the way I want it?
