After upgrade to WP 3.5 I get this message across the top of every screen:

Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in /home/content/77/3856777/html/wp-content/plugins/digiproveblog/CopyrightProof.php on line 810 and defined in /home/content/77/3856777/html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 990

  • The same here. I had to deactivate it. Please help. Thank you.

    Same here as above.

Same here, I restored my last version of WordPress.

I sent email to the Digiprove folks but haven’t heard anything back on the issue yet. I hate when this happens.

    Dear All,

Our apologies for this inconvenience. The WordPress folks introduced a change at 3.5 which on the one hand plugs a potential security flaw, but on the other hand creates this spurious error message on Copyright Proof and a bunch of other plugins.

We have upgraded the Copyright Proof plugin accordingly and the new release 2.10 fixes this problem. If you have any further diffculties with the plugin, email us at support@digiprove.com or me directly at

Follow-up – If you can’t get into the WordPress log-in screen as a result of this problem, the way to resolve it is to delete the directory digiproveblog, the usual location is /wp-content/plugins from your wordpress directory. This will remove all the plugin code.

Once you do that you should be able to log in, then you can re-install the latest version (2.11) which does not have this problem.

Once again apologies to those of you who have been affected, it was actually caused by WordPress 3.5 introducing a single more stringent warning message which in turn triggered all this stuff

    Regards

I logged into my account on my tablet and updated my updates that were ready…not realizing what would happen..I now cannot log out of my tablet and when I go into my dashboard all I get is the warning messages. I can’t log out in order to log into my account on my PC…WordPress now tells me my account doesn’t exist when I try to do it that way…so I cannot figure out how I am supposed to delete the digiprove app…Please Help!! Also since it does not recognize my acct. I cannot log in and go to support contact form as it doesn’t accept my user id or password now…Four hours later…I’m here hoping you can help me. My website is http:oddsandendsboutique.com

@ KurtF…this is the exactly what I am getting..did you get it fixed and how? I appear to be unable to log in also…says my account does not exist, yet I’ve had the same acct for 3 years and it comes up online…

To delete the plugin you need access to the folders where the plugin software is stored on your server. If your site is hosted you have probably been given instructions on how to access your server online via a control panel. If you don’t have this or are not comfortable dabbling in this way, you need to contact whoever manages your server (e.g. your hosting provider) and ask them to delete the folder “digiproveblog” which will be located in the “wp-content/plugins” folder within the WordPress installation. It should be easy to find it’s a very unusual name.

Again feel free to contact me directly on cian.kinsella@digiprove.com

Have had no further complaints about this. The upcoming WordPress 3.5.1 corrects the underlying issue anyway. It was a real headache. Am now marking as resolved, but if anyone still struggling with this, please contact us or raise a new support issue.
