I am just reorganising my menu and er I can't delete my links. The docs refer to the check boxes being used in conjunction with the controls at the bottom of the admin panel but what controls ? 1.2 Mingus and Firefox here. Tx.

Login - Links, delete from right side column not working ?
No. I check the boxes but then what? I have pressed every button in turn but there is nothing for update or similar. My menu is currently - to coin a phrase - er borked :)
I never use the check boxes.
I just deleted one to check.... click delete, up pops a confimation box and it's gone.
Links - Manage Links and the Action column.
Well I do not get the pop up. Do you think admin has powers to delete users links ?
Where are the offending docs? I check in the UserManual in the wiki, but did not find it there.
Deleting multiple links in one go does not seem to be an option, yet.
Is the popup blocker in your Firefox active on that page?
Got it. We need to check the box then hover on delete and up pops the fly up.
Not exactly intuitive but there we are. Thanks.
I can just click on the link that says Delete without selecting the checkbox.
i do too ..... very odd.
Then what are the check boxes for. Is there a *mass delete* ?
"Deleting multiple links in one go does not seem to be an option, yet."
from here.
The checkboxes are for selecting the links and toggling visibility or moving them to a different category or owner.
You can file a feature request at http://mosquito.wordpress.org
This has been covered before here, and elsewhere too, if I remember correctly.
Can you please tell me where the docs where which said there is a way to delete the links by selecting them?
Here it is . It is linked from admin with a ?
The link you refer to clearly corresponds to the button that allows you to restrict the displayed (shown) links to those in a category ordered in a particular way.
It does not talk about deleting links. So I assume it is not a documentation error.
I am not talking about documentation errors. I was just asking how you delete a link. sheesh.
Root, you said "The docs refer to the check boxes being used in conjunction with the controls at the bottom of the admin panel", so I was concerned that many others might be mislead, if the docs were wrong, and so I asked you where you got that from. You don't have to go "sheesh" on me for that!
I probably should not have taken the time to help someone who can't answer a question I asked in return to see if something needs improvement.
Thank you!
I have suggested the following replacement :
Additionally, if you have sufficient privileges, 'Edit' and 'Delete' buttons, as well as a checkbox, are displayed for each of the links.
The checkboxes are used in conjunction with the function buttons at the bottom of the page.
Thanks, Root.
