No matter how I try to escape it, an ampersand in the title keeps getting replaced with “amp” or “Amp” in both the title tag and the page title.
Surely there’s a way to do this without having to add custom filter code?

I have no issues with ampersands in the content, and I don’t even want the ampersand in the url, it’s just that the title needs to include an ampersand.

    Which theme are you using?

I’m using a child theme that I created based on the Roots. Apparently, the problem is either in that or some plugin I have installed, cos I just noticed I’m only seeing it on one version of the site – so I guess I’ve got a wild goose to chase down.

What did you do to resolve this? I’m using a child theme of Mantra, and man is it annoying! Especially when it gets changed to & a m p ; a m p ; etc…
