    Hi!

I discovered today, thad i had sequential order numbers until 76. The suddenly 77 was missing and 78 was next. There was no orders in the trash, it just went to 78.

So next thing i noticed that if you use on the backend Add order button it creates another number for order even when you`re not entered any orders.

Now my question – is there a way to delete these blank orders from phpmyadmin so i could start with the correct order number again?

    Best regards!

    Hi!

I tested this fix but somehow it is not working on my site. It means that still orders are still assigned to temporary auto-draft if they are created from the admin backend

Hmm, and you’re sure this is with the latest version of the plugin? It’s not possible that orders with status auto-draft could be assigned an order number with the new code, so something else must be going on. Tough to say from over here, I’d really have to dig into your server environment unfortunately

OK, got it to work, thank you.

Although there was one little question – somehow if i want to enter orders manually, it shows “Order id. 2966” on the header of the order page. But if save it, then it shows in the orders list with the correct id 78.

Now, when i open next order to add it manually, it shows 2977 but if i save it then in the order list it shows correct id 79.

But all other stuff is working and it is not creating those blank orders in the database. So again Justin, thank you for your work 😉

Yeah, that’s the one drawback of not assigning an order number to the auto-draft post, there’s no way of knowing what the final order number is until the order is saved. I know it’s a little confusing, but hopefully it’s better than potentially loosing order numbers
