    My site, http://www.susiej.com , allows readers to leave comments — but I’m not sure how to tell them to create a link to the post. THere is no option for that. Is there a plug-in I can download for that?

    You don’t need any plugin: it is there below your comment form:
    Some HTML allowed:
    <a href="" title="">
