Ok, for starters.
The blog in your profile is NOT using the nmost current version of WP. Because of that, it’s probably exploitable.
Second, you chose 2.1.1 as your version, hopefully that was a mistake, since that’s not current either, and again, is probably exploitable.
Hopefully, you are running 2.1.3.
All that aside — 2.1.x handles pings differently, and the load time after you post is NOT, and actually has never been (not everyone had the load issues), an accurate indicator of whether or not your pinging.
Aren’t you a delight.
Firstly, I run multiple blogs and the blog in my profile is nothing to do with the blog I am referring to and I in fact now never use.
Secondly, the blog I am referring to in this topic is running on 2.1.3, which is the latest version. I did not select that as it didn’t appear to be possible.. however I just edited it using the “Other” version selection.
And thirdly, thank you that is all I wanted to know. It seemed a little odd that previously when there had been a long list of sites to ping it had taken a long time to post, and now it does so instantly.
Your welcome.
(I sure love how snotty people get when someone points out that their sites are rootable, generally due to their own malaise. I wonder how people react when they get told they have bald tires on their car when they go into the gas station for gas. You shoot the attendant, dont you?)
