The directions make it seem so simple…well how come it doesn’t work?

I followed the instructions to the letter, and this is the error that I keep getting:
Unable to create directory /usr/www/virtual/mansfield/www.124bpms.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/04. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

Can anyone help, I have been working on this all day.
    Thanks

    *sigh*

Working on it all day, huh?

Did you answer the question the system is asking you?

Is /wp-content/ writable? Is the directory’s permissions set to 777?

Yeah, everyone keeps saying that but no one will tell me what it means.
There is no option on the upload screen to answer a question, so it must be in the files.
    What directory? what is 777?
    Where is this file?
Where do I find this “permission”.

In the Content Folder I have:
    My Sql
    Plug ins
    Themes
    Index.php

    That’s it!

which one is the one that is supposed to be what I am looking for?

Got it! I was looking waaaaayyy to deep for the answer.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

This is exactly what I have been trying to work out how to do for the last few days.

Can you please explain how to import content from one blog to another using the rss function.

    In simple terms please.

    Thanks
