I have searched and searched and I don’t even know what to search for anymore. It’s probably so easy, but I just can’t see it.

The content (not the sidebars) is running below the borders of my container. It does this on the permalink page too. I’ve been working on a theme at me ‘test blog’.

Can anyone tell me where to look; a set of fresh eyes would be greatly appreciated.

    This might be the explanation:

And just to let you know: in the header image the kids are cute but the image is way too big, over 370KB, you should trim it down to a much smaller size (40-50KB).

Thanks, but I validate in XHTML 1.0 strict and I still have the problem.

As per the pic, I just haven’t gotten to that yet – this is my test blog and my priority is to get the containment of my posts right first.

try setting a height tag in your div tag for the main page…. height: 800px; and it may stretch the background down further.

thanks, thebindlestick, I’ve tried that too and every variation of it (auto vs. set height, min-height). I’m just at a loss.

just putting this back up to the top – I still need help with this.

I figure this is a problem with a div tag or maybe even a paginate problem because now I can’t see that anymore.

doing what youve tried to do is difficult. I hate to recommend this since it implies you might need to start over but …take a look at this:

Well, I finally got it fixed, thanks for the links. I finally found a site that helped. the majority of the problem was related to float and position.
