  • I have searched and read just about every suggestion here and Google but without a good result. Please forgive the repetition – I’ve been at it for two days now.

Here’s the story. Backed up my site and moved it to local server for some changes. Never looked right so wanted to reinstall from the backup. I created a new DB, user, password using same details as previously. The uploaded all the files from the backup. The site is a normal website with a menu link to the wordpress blog. The normal site fires up ok but the blog opens with the default Weaver 2010 theme and none of my html/css that was in the Advanced settings area in wp-admin (including the header image etc)

With the default open, it has “Chatter” (name of blgo) and Dashboard under it. But when i click on dashboard I get the dreaded “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” error message.

I have tried a load of things like renaming the plugs folder, making changes to capabilities in the usermeta table etc.

Could someone help me trouble shoot this?

(looks OK) then click on Chatter(Blog) to see the problem, or click here direct Chatter(Blog)
