Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded (7 posts)

    Hello

I get this message on the Manage Pages Tab:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/proje113/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/functions.php on line 25

Not all pages are listed and I can't edit/delete them properly. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, i.e. message "Error in deleting"

I have about 200 pages. The line number in the error message isn't always 25. Earlier it was 11.

    Any help, please?

    Thanks
    chlori

A one second search in Google returns hundreds of hits. The very first one makes a suggestion:

Edit the maximum_execution_time in your php.ini

Default is 60 seconds, I increased it to 300 seconds and works still fine.

    Hope this helps,

    PaintballCraze,

That setting is inside your host's global php.ini. SOME hosts, not all, allow you to have a your own php.ini.

Talk with your host, find out if they allow it first. If they do, from there, they can provide instructions on using it.

My hosting says this is a security issue and they cannot set it more than 30 seconds. So, there is some other way arround ?

    Thanks,
    Dan
