   permalinks will not work on old versions (i have eight copies of worpress going), cannot build an index cuz it cannot handle hrefs to internal files and cannot permalink to external

   five of the wordpress instances (all 2.1.x) have database connect problems that are ridiculous because handcheck of the mysql tables = all beautiful

   newest one worked for a while and then went db bad for no cause

   the newest version i just installed. as we used to say back home sos - only back then it was 'sept on saturday

   so i am feeling pretty pressed, word wise
