Split post with introduction paragraph

    Hi guys,

    I have come across a few blogs which use a technique which I want to use on my blog.

    On the blog’s homepage some introduction text describing the blog post appears and under the introduction is a link which says “Continue reading this post”

    I know that this is somewhat achieved by clicking on the “split post with more tag”. But the technique I am speaking of is slightly different. If you take a look at this blog you will see the homepage contains a introduction while the actual blog post doesn’t contain the introduction itself.

    Does anyone know how this is done?

    They might write an “excerpt”. If you explore your Write Post screen, it’s a section below the image uploader (you may have to expand it).

    Their theme then uses the_excerpt() in index.php (instead of the_content()).
