I recently upgraded from version 2.1.2 to version 2.1.3 – all went fine, and I ran the upgrade.php script.

However when I login to the admin panel, the version number still shows as 2.1.2. Also, if I view the page source from the actual homepage of my blog is also still shows as version 2.1.2. Why is this?

Just upgraded several minutes ago and I don’t see that problem. You may need to reupload your files because 2.1.3 should show at the bottom of your admin pages.

Ah, I just realised that some files were not over-written. Just goes to show I should have followed the instructions and deleted all files rather than just try to overwrite them!

    Thanks 🙂

I have run into the same issue going from 2.09 to 2.0.10

I deleted my Index.php, ADMIN folder and other files.

I did not delete the wp-config, wp-content and wp-includes folders. I left them in place.

Went to /wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php and did the upgrade and it worked, however it still says 2.09 at the bottom of my Dashboard.

Any idea what I did wrong??
