How is that redirection done? Why does it trigger when you build the index?
I don’t know what jigoshop uses. The other one uses header(‘location:’)
I don’t know why it’s triggering when the index is being built though.
I would recommend excluding those redirection pages from the index. Is there a point to index them, if they’re just redirects?
I actually did exclude them, but it happens anyway. Not sure how the exclusion works, if it still pings the page maybe, but doesn’t save it in the index?
Anyway, love relevanssi, just trying to figure out a way around this bug.
Thanks
Well, Relevanssi does call the post with get_post(), so if that’s enough to trigger the redirect, then yes… But very hard to say, without taking a closer look. You might want to ask the developers of JigoShop about this.
I had a similar problem. If you reload the Relevanssi Search Options page and uncheck “Expand shortcodes in post content”, then at the top Quick tools, change the number to 1 documents and continue indexing. This should get past whatever page is redirecting it. Next go back down and recheck “Expand shortcodes in post content” and keep it at 1 document and continue indexing again. If it works, change to whatever number you want (I do it in chunks of 400) and if it redirects or errors out, repeat those steps to get past each of the pages that redirects. Eventually you’ll get it all indexed.
