    Hi,

I was wondering if someone could get me started on techniques to have visitors/users login and create new posts, but not through the admin panel. I would like the login and post creation elements to be more integrated into my site.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    - John

This will take care of your log in:

I don't know of any off the top of my head that would customize the post, but you may be able to do something similar.

You could also consider posts by email.

Cheers blepoxp, I will check out your suggested link. I don't really want to go with email posts because this will be a site for which posting will be open to the public, and I want to make it as simple as possible for them.

    Thanks again,

    - John

I would also look at the user permissions and the role manager plugins. These, along with the remove dashboard plugin from filosofo can pretty much limit the basic user to a post screen.

There's also a plugin that will send all posts to draft and notify you for approval before publishing.
