    Hi there dmipham,

We do have recent experience with the functionality your mentioning here, with another plugin we’ve built that pulls Twitter, Facebook & Google+. Site visitors can Like/Retweet/+ any one entry from the display on our site ~ but only if the visitor signs into Facebook and/or Twitter to do so from within our site.

This adds considerable heft to the plugin, where with Easy Instagram, we’ve built this plugin with size (volume of code) and page load time specifically in mind and are promoting it on those two qualities. So at this time, we don’t have this functionality on the dev list for Easy Instagram.

However, because Instagram recently started displaying online (on computers as well as mobile devices) you can now click through on our plugin via each image’s displayed username to the user’s online Instagram page. Certainly if you have our recent version of Easy Instagram, you have the same ability –to follow a user, or <3 a user– once you’ve clicked through on a username, then logged in to Instagram, via Instagram.

Thanks for the brainstorm. Keep ’em coming!

    Best,
    VeloMedia
