READ THIS before you open a new thread!

    Thank you for posting in the NextGEN Gallery support forum! Please read this and follow these guidelines before opening a new thread:
    First, download and install the most recent version of NextGEN Gallery from the plugin page and check if your problem still exists. Be sure to clear your browser cache after install.
    Second, search the forums for similar threads and see if any of the proposed solutions work for you.
    Third, to test what’s wrong, disable all your other plugins and switch to the default WordPress theme for a bit. Clear your browser cache, and if the problem persists, open a thread, if not, figure out which plugin is the cause of the problem by activating each, one by one, and then open a thread mentioning which plugin caused the error.

    Finally, if you decide to open a new thread, Use this template:

    WordPress up to date?
    NextGEN up to date?

    (please confirm the following, with your server host tech) :
    MySQL up to date (5.2.4)?
    PHP up to date (5.0)?
    The mod_rewrite Apache module activated?
    PHP Safe Mode OFF?

    and if you’re willing to share:
    Who are you hosted with?
    What theme are you running?
    Which plugins do you have installed and activated?
    Does this error still occur if you switch your theme to the WP default, and deactivate all plugins except NextGEN Gallery? (*be sure to clear your browser cache and reload your site after deactivating)

    And millions of thanks for this awesome plugin!

    It is however, nobody’s fault for the “bad threads”. This WordPress’s support forum is arguably the worst in the world. It’s hardly readable, not to mentioned searchable.

    So much potential wasted for reason I’m not aware of haizzz

    WordPress is always open to receiving feedback regarding the forum they have set up for plugins and themes.     @starloft – Good question, right now you’ll need to manually scroll through the latest threads posted or search via Google. I would suggest posting your feature request to WordPress here: http://wordpress.org/news/2009/05/ideas/ , let them know it would be useful to have a specific plugin forum search box to search out solutions without manually scrolling through each forum page.

    @marcfuller – NextGEN Gallery v1.9.8 is compatible and both functions and displays without breaking with WP v3.5. The current issue is that WordPress included a new display error in their update, see more [here]. Most WP friendly hosts have PHP error display turned off by default to help secure your site. If you’re on a hosting provider that doesn’t have this security feature included, you may either request they turn PHP error reporting off or add the temp. fix to remove this error, found [here]. We’re currently working on providing a fix for the bug that displays error mentioned in this forum thread, should be available soon. Meanwhile, as mentioned, our current version is compatible, the only bug we know of that does display in some cases, does not prevent you from using the plugin like normal or displaying galleries.

    Hi whats about the using of the nextgen gallery with bundled JW ImageRotator? Can i use it for free on a commercial website? Is the imagerotator now really included?

    in nextGen widget, can I use image ID instead of Gallery ID? I’ve add the specific image in the widget.

    hey guys, i have similar problem, cant display newly created galleries or images into posts via nextGen gallery slider not even displaying any thumbnails in the back end of nextgen gallery…..serious issues…please help im not using any jet pack or so many plugins…im using Dzonia lite theme for my website….although it is displaying old images fine using same process but not new ones…not even via media up-loader of new wp 3.5

    i have following installed
    WP 3.5
    Mysql 5.5
    PHP 5.3.16

    host names.co.uk
    Thesme used Dzonia light

    Plugins:
    Nextgengallery 1.9.10
    nextgen scroll galrry 1.8.1
    Contact Form 7 3.3.2
    Better Tag Cloud 0.99.5
    My Twitter Widget 1.3.4
    Tried everything as said above…but still not working

    help please

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    I go to support > forum but find no way to create a new thread to get support.

    Apparently I have doing this wrong for months. And so do many of us.

    How do we open a new thread that os support?
