    Not fully understanding your question but why can’t you just use CSS to manipulate the area you want?

    Use a dev tool like firebug or Chrome dev tool to inspect the element in question and it will show you want you need to modify. However if all this is new to you, then I would seriously consider hiring a developer to help you.
