• Hi,

I bought a 1&1 domain name yesterday and a server at Bluehost. Whenever I try to install WordPress via my Bluehost cPanel, I have the following message in a yellow box : “Oops! Your main domain is not currently pointing to your host, so we will use your temporary domain.”

I don’t understand what is going on since I changed primary and secondary DNS servers on my 1&1 account. Is it just a matter of time? What will happen if I decide to go on and ignore the warning, installing WordPress to my “temporary domain”?

    Thank you!

  • Maybe your domain hasn’t propagated yet… you can still install it on a temporary domain and then change it once the domain name has become active. you can change it in the general settings option in your admin control panel.
I’d also double check with your host that you are using the correct name servers for your hosting account.

I’m not sure what is going on!

    I am hosted through Dreamhost.

Down loaded Word Press, created a blog and I’m able to use the blog. When I try to sign into Word Press, says it doesn’t know who I am. I got an e-mail saying it was set up?

When I try to leave a comment on someone’s blog, says I don’t own

I’m sorta dumb when it comes to these things! Was thrilled I even created the blog and was able to post on it!
