Started to use the wp cal plug in, really liked it and had it working on a local web server I am running but when I tried to upload the calendar to my site where word press is running as root it doesn’t seem to work. I uploaded the original plug in with no changes because that’s what the tutorial said to do, it still doesn’t seem to work. Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Are you getting some sort of error or what?

No, no errors. I can’t even get it to run. It doesn’t show up on the page where I put it. All that shows up is this <!–cal–> because that is what the tutorial said to put and the last time I tried it, it ran perfectly with out any problems. Of course, then it wasn’t running at root and unfortunately, not running at root is not an option for me this time.
    Thanks,

Managed to figure it out myself and no longer need help.

kc8tqv, can you please post how you solved this? I have run into the same problem. I added <!–cal–> to my page, but nothing shows up at all. (no errors – just a blank WordPress page)

Okay, so I didn’t hear back from kc8tqv… has anyone else run into this problem?

Am I missing something in the instructions? I created a new page in WordPress, and added <!–cal–>, but nothing shows up.

I tried to look for other calendars that displayed events on a page (as opposed to the sidebar) but couldn’t find any… Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Let me know when you find out – I get a double scoop of front page instead of a calendar of any kind. <sigh>

i have been able to install wp-cal and even got it to show up on the page but i receive a Fatal error: Call to undefined function cal_days_in_month() in /z/www4/revival/www/rca/wp-content/plugins/wp-cal/functions/cal.php on line 59.

Has anyone else run into this? If so can you let me know how you resolved it?

    Thanks,

Similar errors always tell about an incomplete upload. I’d upload the plugins files again.

I’ve gone through the installation instructions, uploaded the plugin files again… still just get the <!–cal–> on the page instead of the actual calendar. I got this working on another blog no problem, don’t know what could be wrong. Went to wp-content/plugins/wp-cal/js/cal.js to make sure it was pointing to the correct folder, it is.

Is this an issue with 2.2?

Figrued it out… had it in display mode instead of code. Wonder if that might have been others’ problem?

(Usually the simple mistakes we overlook).

I just saw that someone responded to this post (I figured it was dead.) Thanks for your suggested solution, sutyakdes. Unfortunately for me, my editor is already set to the code view, and still nothing is showing up on my page: http://greenwoodlivingmag.com/index.php/wp-cal-calendar/

I think that I may be missing some javascript and that is preventing it from functioning, but when I tried to add some in, it didn’t solve anything.

I am using wordpress 2.2 and i can get everything to work, the only problem I have is that anyone can add an event, whether or not you are logged in or not. Any one else with this?
