    Hi Sop
You can allow users to only vote once per image, or only allow them one vote in the entire gallery.
So, if you want them to only be able to vote on 1 in 5 images, you will need to create galleries with those 5 images, and then it’s possible.

The free plugin comes with star ratings (1-5 stars), drop down rating (rate from 1-10), and ‘like/dislike’ the image.
If you need a just a plain ‘like’, the you might also want to see the premium add-on to get that voting type. You can get NextGEN Gallery Voting Premium at CodeCanyon for a couple bucks.

    Hi Shauno,
Thanks for your reply, I’m trying to create an image voting system which allow user to vote/like say 5+ images. Once a user have voted/like an image does the other 4 images become disable so they can’t select them anymore or do they still become active, if I create a galleries and purchase the NextGEN Gallery Voting premium will this do the trick?

    Cheers,
    Sop

    Hi Sop
The voting does become disabled for other images once a user has voted on an image in a gallery, if you have set the images to “Only allow 1 vote per person for this gallery”.
Install the free version on a test site, and see the options that are available. The premium version gives you a new voting type (the plain ‘like’), and the ability to change/translate the messages your users see when they vote, but it doesn’t change the voting mechanism itself.
Let me know if you have any questions once you’ve installed it.

    Thanks Shauno,
I can’t believe I didn’t see “Only allow 1 vote per person for this gallery” option, my bad.. I will purchase the premium one as well. Thanks for your help on this matter

    Cheers,
    Sop
