   I did a google search but it just keeps spitting themes at me.

   Is it possible to have an image header, as in a picture of something, on a fluid theme?

   Does it require a particular code or size of image?

   Usually you make the image as big as possible i.e. so that it looks all right on the maximum resolution you expect your viewers to use

   The browser will then shrink the image down in size but it still looks ok

   If you don't do this the picture will look naff on higher resolutions as the browser will expand the image to fit.

   All assuming of course that your central column is fluid and that you intend to have the picture at the top of the central column
