cant log in to multiple WP blogs

    not sure why my previous post was closed to new replies immediately, so I’m reposting. I apologize if I did somethin wrong. was just making an edit to the post to provide more info when it closed off the topic.

    Looking for some advice- I’m not sure this is a wordpress issue, or something on my system.

    After I successfully log in to any of my WP blogs (all 2.1.2), I am unable to log in to any of the others without restarting my computer.

    For instance, After I log in to http://www.theviewfrommysofa.com, I am unable to log in to http://www.theysaidwhat.com.

    The wp-admin just keeps redirecting me back to the log in page.

    I have confirmed that my databases are fine with my webhost. i have cleared cookies, deleted temp files, and switched browsers. The only thing that seems to work is restarting. I have multiple log ins in case something every went funky, but none of them work without a restart.

    other than that, everything is working fine. I’m baffled.

    Damndest thing I’ve ever heard, to be honest.

    Any “environmental” changes recently? Software security suite or firewall by chance? That’s the only thing that initially pops into mind.

    I’m going to remove Spybot since thats the only new thing I’ve added to my system, but I seriously doubt thats the issue. Using ZoneAlarmPro and AVG antivirus. Once I’m in, Wp 2.1.2 works flawlessly.

    This is what comes up in the address bar after a failed log in:

    Ok, just for grins… humor me. Disable/turn off ZA Pro for a moment.

    Not having any problems bouncing between blogs when I booted from my other partition. Same firewall, same anti-virus. It really is the darndest thing.

    well, you called that one right. When I switched to the windows firewall and turned off ZoneAlarm, i was able to bounce between blogs.

    Very odd, though. Since i’m running the exact same firewall on both partitions. Same settings. So damn weird.

    Any suggestions for the proper settings??

    I’ve got the same firewall, same anti-virus, same anti-crapware … no problems ever. Maybe you once “trained” ZoneAlarm to block something.
