Autosave should be a changeable option

I’m really irritated with the Autosave feature. There should be a way to prevent autosaving for users who don’t want that feature.

If there is a way to prevent autosaving, I’d like to know this. Sometimes I start on a topic and want to discard it and find that it’s there as a draft – it’s irritating since it breaks the continuous numbering of posts if I have to delete it.
