Hi, can anybody tell me the full pathname for a Wordpress page that goes past the directory level to the actual filename that is loaded by your browser?
For example, what is the actual file that is tacked on to the URL here? (I thought it might be .../index.php but it's not)

Wordpress permalinks don't correspond to actual files on the site. The page is generated on the fly.
And yes, everything does start at the main index.php file. From there it eventually goes to your theme, and it could be your theme's single.php file or the theme's index.php file, depending on the theme. Those usually call header.php, footer.php, and sidebar.php, although again, not necessarily.
But there is no actual single file on your site that holds what you see in the browser.
