Maybe I’m not explaining myself properly here, but you know when you click the cursor in the Post Window when you want to make a new post in your wp-admin? I cannot click in that window at all.
I’m hoping someone might address this problem, because this post is now 3 months old, I am still encountering the same problem and so I am unable to make a new post.
Perhaps IE7 security is taking over? Did you try it out in firefox or something else?
some questions,
– have you tried another browser alreay?
– do you know the security setting of your wp-admin folder and the files? (may be you have to ask your host)
What do you mean by security setting? No, I haven’t tried another browser.
Now I am receiving the following error and I am still unable to click inside the Post box…
“Line: 109
Char: 3
Error: ‘tinyMCE.selectedInstance.spellcheckerOn’ is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: http://www.divamaggie.com/wp-admin/post-new.php”
that looks like some error in how IE7 runs tinyMCE javascript. IE7 havascript interpretor cannot find an object.
However, that should work OK with IE7.
Are you sure all the files have been uploaded?
Please try another browser and see if you could reproduce the error.
I tried Firefox and it seems to be working fine, however, Firefox is not my browser of choice 🙁
I guess I would like to find out how I will be able to run wp-admin in IE7.
Call microsoft and tell them to fix their browser. otherwise try turning off the rich text editor in the WP options.
I looked under options, but don’t see one to turn of the rich editor. So you mean wp isn’t compatible with IE7 then?
Where do I turn off the rich text editor in the WP options. I’ve looked under Options in wp-admin and don’t see it.
