Visit http://www.positioniseverything.net/ and you can see some great examples of CSS in action. The two authors of this site are experts in the field of CSS design and implementation. As well, they provide a bevy of excellent CSS-related sites for you to visit. All of them are must-have bookmarks!
I hope you find something useful from there.

NM - Thanks for that link. With what I found there, I was able to create a 3-col CSS site, w/o any tables (except for the calendar..... any one got any ideas? The calendar table tag won't validate against the W3C XHTML validator - and neither does the search form, ???)
At any rate, check it out at: http://techgnome.anderson-website.net
I welcome comments, both good and bad.

    TechGnome,
Glad it helped. I read one of your posts where you mention having some trouble with validation. I had the same issue and had to go back and edit a number of posts. Seems some of the text winds up being reserved words, when coupled with various brackets, braces, >'s and <'s. :)
