Problems with menu creation
-
Hi Friends,
I’m building a new site on a local server, running WampServer 2.2.
I’ve created all pages and categories of the site.
Now, I want to build my navigation menu, set up as the only menu allowed by Twenty Twelve. It consists of 5 pages and 1 category. Once built, I refresh my site but when I try to navigate through the menu items, except ‘Home’, the rest of sections give a ‘Not found’ page, saying The requested URL … was not found on this server.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.Sergio

Are you using a Virtual Host on WAMP?
No, localhost running on my computer.
Try setting up a Virtual Host. It’s an option within WAMP.
Instead of your URL being
http://localhost
, it will behttp://projectname
But then, I need to re-install again, as the previous installations was done on localhost, don’t I?
What do you need to re-install?
I need to ro-do all I’ve donde previously, as my previous site was built on ‘localhost’. After doing the changes you comment, all my previous WordPress configuration is obsolete, as all paths refer to some ‘localhost’ URL, i.e.: after doing your changes, I have my homepage on http://mysite, but the rest of sections remain as http://localhost/mysite/section
Then, I imagine I need to re-install WordPress from zero.
I would like to remain with localhost configuration, as in other projects I didn’t have this problem.Okay, I hadn’t known that would be an issue. Sorry.
