Is there a word limit to posts?

    I ask this because I am attempting to put up something around 1100 words and can’t save the post any more than 978 words. When I try to save the full version, I am redirected to post.php, a 404 error. I can’t save nor publish it the full version.

    Here’s the strange thing – I have posted up articles close to 2000 words and didn’t have any problems with that.

    I’m not sure what to make of this problem. I have tried putting it into a new post, but the same problem persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    You’re going to think this is a weird question, but I’m going to ask it anyway:

    What’s word number 979?

    No, no word limit.

    Is your host running mod_security?
    Are there words after 978 in your post that might get mod_security to block it. For instance, “curl” is a common one but there are many more.

    the next word is “Perl,” which now that I think about it, might be the problem. But if that is a problem, it should have come up earlier, because that same name was used before.

    Well, yes, that one might trigger the problem though if you’d used it earlier…. hmmm. A combo situation maybe? Used once is okay, more than that you get whacked?

    Ask your host…. they may have some trap in place on that sort of thing.
