Is Securi Recommended By WordPress.ORG ?

    I’ve seen http://sucuri.net/ advertised in a thread that the user’s website may have been compromised.

    After I flagged the thread, the flag was removed and nothing altered.
    Is this a recommended premium resource on WordPress.org forums?

    Recommending a service like sucuri is fine, if people have it work for them. That’s not advertising, in my view.

    Akismet ain’t free either, but people recommend it for dealing with spam. Just because a service isn’t free doesn’t make it automatically bad to talk about on the forum.

    Sucuri is just an easy option to scan for issues like malwares, etc but it does not always give you 100% positive result. Thus i will always recommended to scan a website for malwares using difference scanner which will enhance your result such as virustotal, unmaskparasites, onlinelinkscan, more other more.
