• Hello All,

I finally made the plunge and obtained my own domain name and am using Yahoo hosting. My blog is using the latest WordPress version that Yahoo has installed. I have pretty much got all my content from my Blogger page transferred over. I just need to get all my stuff that was in the sidebar over. I cannot figure out how to put html in the sidebar.php and get it to show up. How do you add html content to the sidebar?

    1. be prepared for the odd delay when you update your css or template files ! Some details here.
    2. yahoo’s version is not the latest. if you want the latest wpress version, i suggest you do it yourself. Its easy enough and you can stay apar with the latest.

As for your sidebar – let us know which template you’re using. In some templates (like connections) you actually have part of the sidebar in the index.php file and the rest in the sidebar.php file.

thanks lusohouse. Your comments about Yahoo on your site are a bit disheartening. I moved to a hosted solution with my own domain name thinking that I would have a better looking blog and more flexibility than what Google’s blogger offered. I am also concerned about the delays. I guess I am stuck at Yahoo for awhile. Darn it anyway!

I am using the Ocean Mist theme by Ed Merritt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
