   I have big problem with wp-phpMailer plugin. I've activated and configurated plugin and it doest't work. E-mails aren't sent.
   I use Wordpress 2.1.
   What can cause that?

   It's not listed on the plugins compatibility page for 2.1.
   http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Plugin_Compatibility/2.1#W_-_Z
   You can check for an update or use a compatible one.

   I know, but my friends use it on wordpress 2.1 and plugin works properly...

   The problem is resolved.
   I've installed Swift Swift SMTP plugin which works properly on wordpress 2.1.
   I recommend this plugin.
