    Hi all

I am experiencing a ‘Fatal Error’ issue on one of my MU child theme sites. I’ve seen a few errors in my time, but this one simply baffles me. I remember everything working the last time I checked, I did not make any updates to the child theme files and now the sites is down with the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function synapse_before_page_content() in /home/site/public_html/site.com/wp-content/themes/childtheme/page.php on line 36

I use the Catch Box theme as a child theme and basically have only modified the header (only adding the google analytics script), footer and style CSS. I have not added any other functions. I have not touched critical files such as functions.php either, so I can’t figure out what may have gone wrong.

I copied the page.php file into the child theme (it does not even have 36 lines) to see, if that may fix the issue, but no success. By the way, when I switch the theme back to the Catch Box parent, the site runs fine. My Catch Box child theme on the other hand decided to call an undefined function.

I hope someone may be able to help me on this. I have no idea where is error came from.

    All the best!

Hi all, not to worry, I fixed the issue.

It still doesn’t make much sense. I basically deleted some of the same files and re-uploaded them to the server and the problem was fixed.

    Thanks again.
