  • Click on what?

Have you changed anything recently? Perhaps installed a new plugin? Or changed your site url?

Yes, I see what you mean. It doesn’t look like any of the posts are displaying. As Rachel asked, did you change anything, more specifically did you make any changes to the theme?

    I would also try:
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the 2011 theme to rule out any theme-specific problems? Or re-install 2010

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Hi Everyone,

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes Rachel and Christine I changed the theme within my control panel. For while my blog said

Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.

then I went into the back-end and installed the theme manually. The website theme came back but when I click on a blog nothing is appearing. Lucky I still have all of my blogs (I was concerned I lost everything) but I still want everything to appear when someone clicks on a blog URL.

Any tips or suggestions for correcting this issue?

    Thanks again everyone!

Your blog posts are in the database, so there’s no risk of losing that unless of course you delete the database. I would re-install the theme. Something seems to be missing. I would also download a fresh copy of the Twenty Ten theme.

    Hi Christine,

Thanks for the reply. I re-installed the WP theme via the control panel.

    I got this message

An error occurred while updating Twenty Ten: Could not remove the old theme..

My blog is now blank again. (at the time of writing this response)

As of right now I can still log back into my back-end but I’m not too sure what to do here.

    Any suggestions anyone?

    Thanks

It sounds as though you have a permission issue, which is why the TwentyTen theme couldn’t be removed.

the correct permissions scheme is simple to understand.

All files should be owned by the actual user’s account, not the user account used for the httpd process.
Group ownership is irrelevant, unless there’s specific group requirements for the web-server process permissions checking. This is not usually the case.
All directories should be 755 or 750.
All files should be 644 or 640. Exception: wp-config.php should be 600 to prevent other users on the server from reading it.
No directories should ever be given 777, even upload directories. Since the php process is running as the owner of the files, it gets the owners permissions and can write to even a 755 directory.
