scan never finishs

    Hi,

    Apart from 1st scan I ran successfully after install, I have the impression all following scans I try to run now never finish.

    In scan summary, those 2 lines keep displaying running activity visuals:
    – Scanning file contents for infections and vulnerabilities
    – Scanning files for URLs in Google’s Safe Browsing List

    And log says “Scan process ended after forking.”

    The only way to terminate scan is to click on “kill running scan”.

    Hi,

    It looks like scans aren’t able to continue after forking. You can try to adjust the:

    “Maximum execution time for each scan stage”

    option at the bottom of the Wordfence options page. Try setting it to 15 and see what happens when you scan.

    Still the same…
    I went up to 90 and scan still never finishes.

    It looks like your server might not be able to connect to itself to execute the ajax handler. Can you try adding your site’s hostname and it’s IP to your server’s /etc/hosts file?

    Website is running on a mutualized server so I don’t have access to /etc/hosts file. Any alternative ?
