Here is what happens...
People will go to my site, and register a user name and email address and they will register, I know because I can see it in the admin panel.
But then, wordpress never sends them a EMAIL with their password in it....
Does anyone know how to fix this or what I should try?

same here.
apparently since wp 2.1
plus: people can’t login and need their passwort recovered because an updated one by the admin doesn’t work either …
