I’m sorry but your chosen theme is not released under GPL. Non GPL products are not welcome in the WordPress community. Official WordPress policy states that all plugins and themes that are publicly released are required to adhere to http://wordpress.org/about/gpl/
Also, given this particular theme provider, I would strongly recommend that read this article and consider changing to a theme from a reputable source asap.
Yes, with a fixed width theme, you’d need to go through and change the width of many elements so that all the pieces fit together correctly. There is no fast/easy way to do that — but using Firebug will be helpful as it helps you identify the CSS code for specific elements on the page.
Alternatively, you might find another theme that does not require so much basic re-working.
EDIT — sorry, missed that, and totally agree with esmi — so my last comment above would be the preferred course of action.

Thanks Guys, I will look for a better theme but I’m sure Firebug will be benifical none the less.
Are there any good sites with GOOD search functions for themes? Realistically I’d like a “full screen” theme with 2 columns though that statement is somewhat of an oximoron in the wp world.
Thanks for the info on the provider though!
The filter on this page may help — and all those themes are tested and meet WP standards for good quality and GPL license:

Switched themes, issues resolved. Thanks again!
