Excerpts from second blog?

Forgive me if this has been covered before but I couldn’t find what I was looking for while searching.
I have two WP blogs on the same server. I would really like to be able to include a linked excerpt of the most recent post from the second blog in the sidebar of the first blog. (Does that make sense?) In short of hard coding it, is there any way to do this?
