    First post.

I was just testing out the password protection for posts for the first time so I can’t say when this behavior started. The input box is missing for entering your password to view the post. Here is the form section of the HTML sent to the browser

    ‘<form action=”http://www.hepburnhome.ca/theword/wp-login.php?action=postpass&#8221; method=”post”>
<p>This post is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:</p>
    <p><label for=”pwbox-209″>Password: </label> </p>
    </form>’

    Here’s what I’ve done:
    – backed up DB
    – Re-installed ver 342 using the dashboard Updates View (not ftp from fresh…yet)
    – disabled all plug-ins
    – activated the 2011 default theme.

    Thanks for any help.

    Sorry, thought I had.

    Here’s the page:

    Thanks

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading a fresh, unpacked, copy of the Twenty Eleven folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Thanks! I used the FAQ for resetting the plug-ins inside MySQL DB; I also recorded the plugin that was listed in the field value. I will try, if I have time, to re-create the issue. I may be able to help the plug-in author improve their software.

For now. I will close this thread.

    Thanks again.

Er, Ermi – you close?? I just changed to “Resolved”

We don’t normally close topics. Just marking it as resolved is fine. 🙂
