• I just updated my site with a new blog post and was able to see it successfully in a new window. I closed all my windows and then worked on some other sites (Eventbite, Mailchimp) to finalize some event planning work. When I opened a new window to visit my site again, I got the “Error establishing a database connection”. I opened another browser to check the site and got the same message. When I tried to access the login page for WordPress Admin, I got the same message. I have read other posts about this error message, but they are beyond my area of expertise. I don’t understand how this could happen since I was just working on the site moments ago without issue. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

  • IF you made no site-wide changes and you are sure you did not paste or add some errant code to this new post, first contact your web host and ask them to help troubleshoot this issue…simply making a (clean) post should not cause this issue…
