My blog takes a long time to load

    I have a fast connection from home yet when I access my blogs they seem to take a rather long time to load. I don’t think it has to do with the amount of content in them either because one of them only has three sample tests.

    Old one with lots of content:
    http://www.familywebwatch.com/blog

    New one with only a few test posts:
    meandmydrum.com

    And to further the mystery, I’ve got the feed in my old one to show up in another site of mine using RSS to Javascript. Sometimes that feed doesn’t show up. I get this error message:

    Error: Feed failed! Causes may be (1) No data found for RSS feed http://www.familywebwatch.com/blog/feed; (2) There are no items are available for this feed; (3) The RSS feed does not validate.

    I suppose it could have something to do with that script, but I’m leaning more toward there being a problem with my blog since it takes so long to load.

    Any suggestions on what I might look for to make them load faster?

    Wow – that does take a while to load. I would lean toward a plugin causing it. Google Site Maps plugin is getting a bad rep just for that. Deactivate all plugins and reactivate one by one, testing in between.
