Support » Fixing WordPress » Editing .php files in wordpress theme

  • Hello,
I think I may have done some irreversible damage to my site, but I’m not sure. I was trying to remove the footer widget, so I went into the widgets.php file in the editor section of wordpress and deleted the section of code that I thought was specific to the footer. I then clicked “update” and now all I get is this message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ‘)’ in /home/content/91/9918091/html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/infinitythemetrust/admin/widgets.php on line 62″\

I’m not sure how to go about fixing this if I can’t navigate around the site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
