• I’m using the default theme. I’ve created a private page, setting its page status to ‘Private’ and pressing the ‘Save’ button to save it. I presumed that, being logged in to WP as the creator of the page, the page would appear in the sidebar on the blog main page. But it doesn’t. It only seems to appear in the Manage | Pages section of the admin area. Did the creators of the private page feature intend it to behave differently to my expectations? Making it appear on the blog main page is consistent with the behaviour of private posts.

I’m having the exact same problem, any leads on this?

Yes, me too. It seems that (or at least I expected that) private pages should act the same as private posts: appear where they would if they were public, but only to me (or the editors, for example). But they don’t appear.

I’m using the ‘blog.txt’ template, if that makes a difference.

never thought it was supposed to be displayd any other place then the admin section!

But I am also new to wordpress – woops!
Think I will listen in on this one – have the same “problem” then 🙂

What is the code your theme is using to display the list of pages?
