trouble displaying a file

    I uploaded a document into

    sjc.uuca.sutherlandcompany.net/wp-content/uploads/2012

    .

    The file name is

    Church November ’12 Social Justice Minutes.doc

    .

    I am trying access the file from WP by using this code:
    <h5 style="text-align: left;"><strong style="color: #ffffff;"><a href="http://sjc.uuca.sutherlandcompany.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/Church November '12 Social Justice Minutes.doc/edit">November 4, 2012 Social Justice Committee Minutes</a></h5>

    The error that I get is:
    Sorry, no such page.
    It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help.

    I’m not having any trouble displaying files that are stored in Google Docs.

    What am I missing?

    I’m still having this problem. All I want to do is display a file that I uploaded to the server. I have read a lot online and tried several variations of filenames and uploaded other files. I really would appreciate some new ideas. Since I don’t have any problems displaying files stored in Google Docs I feel that my syntax can’t be that far off.

    When you upload files, WordPress puts hyphens between words in filenames. If you can, look at the details of the file, and then adjust the filename accordingly.

    I am cutting and pasting the file name from my FTP program(FileZilla). I really appreciate your taking the time to help. How are you uploading the files that causes the hyphens to be inserted? Is there a way to upload within WordPress? I’ve only been doing this for a few days. I did try uploading a file with no spaces in the filename. It didn’t help. I also tried a .htm files instead of the .doc file.

    This is interesting. This is three out of three times that I’ve asked for help here that I have found my answers elsewhere.

    In this case the problem was the slash following the filename. If I remove the “/edit”, all is well.
